The villa was built in 2007 and has a modern design with 4 fully fitted bedrooms with luxurious furnishings. The villa has all of the state of the art requirements including surround sound to all bedrooms. The villa is fully equipped to cater for all of your holiday needs with even a Nintendo Wii and games and wireless broadband. Sea and Beach Views from all the sun terrraces and the Pool.

Notes on prices

Please note that all prices are in UK sterling for the property and are for 7 days. We can also take long weekends or mid week stays but anything less than 7 nights will incur a 1 off £150 surcharge. Additional cleaning/laundry at less than weekly intervals is available subject to an additional charge of £85 per time. Negotiable rates for long winter lets available. Pool Heating additional £75 per week or £15 per day High chair and cot available on request.

Changeover day

We ask that guests departing the villa leave by 10am and incoming guests arrive at 2pm. We do allow luggage to be left at the villa if flights are later and at our discretion we do allow to vary leaving and incoming times depending on bookings.

Notes on accommodation

Fully air conditioned/heating system. Log burning fire. Some building construction in the area (not in front of villa). All of the upstairs bedrooms have private balconies and all have sea views. We have also encouraged a book exchange to allow your own private time either besides the pool or on your private balcony. We have nintendo wii for the smaller and big kids in the group and from 2010 there will be a competition for the chance to win a free holiday.

Accessibility

Easily accessed by all, wheelchair friendly. Fully equipped ground floor bedroom with patio door for even easier access adjacent ground floor shower and bathroom.

Outside

The villa has superb views of Porto Mos beach from your sunloungers next to the pool or the patios from the bedrooms which just makes you relax whilst enjoying a glass of wine/beer whilst reading a book or just catching the long hours of sunshine. A large heated pool behind a walled garden for your privacy with lovely landscaped gardens. Large patio area with a purpose built barbeque with storage. Sunloungers and side table for relaxing. Fully equipped dining table with all amenities and seating. Purpose built outside shower. Large driveway through electric gates for 3 cars or just for fun to play all your outside games away from the pool and loungers.

Local area

Coast/Beach

The beach is only a 5 minute walk from the villa and known as one of the best beaches in the Algarve. You can hire umbrellas and beds. Porto Mos beach in the summer is the height of activity with various watersports going on including scuba diving, jet skis, and all other sports good restaurants serving local and international cuisine. If you wish to go to Meia Praia beach which again is a 5min drive away you will come to over 5km of lovely sandy beach with even more sporting activities going on

Golf

Porto Mos is in easy access of the motorways which allows you take full advantage of all the courses in the Algarve. The closest ones being Boavista just a 5 min drive and Palmares 10 min drive. Boavista has again like every year as seen on sky sports the Henry Cooper golf challenge. Palmares as being rated as the Jewel of the Algarve by Todays Golfer being a part Links and part Park Land course. Just a few more minutes drive away from Boavista you come to another fantastic course Parque de Floresta which is a challenging hilly course as again seen on sky sports for the David Seaman golf challenge.You have the opportunity to play 28 golf courses within a 45 min drive. This includes the new courses which have just been built by Oceanico which are the Faldo and O'Conner.

Travel

Faro international airport is only 80 km away which is only 45mins. There are many car rental firms at the airport to choose from. There has been a new bus service put into action which now means there are buses every 20 mins and it is called the Wave. The local train station is at the back of the marina only 2km 5 min drive which services the whole Algarve and Portugal. Taxis are abundant but you must book in advance. Motorway links are just 1km from the Villa.

Distances

Restaurants and beach are only 500m. Supermarket and Private hospital 1km. Centre of Lagos 2km. Formula 1 race track 15mins. Portimao 20 mins which includes the cruise liner terminal and World Beach Soccer. Slide and Splash 20 mins.

Further details

Lagos town centre is steeped in history as the old castle walls are still standing and evidence of the historic slave trade market. Lagos offers now as it is the third largest in the Algarve all the trappings of a tourist place. Lagos offers plenty of cafe bars, restaurants, museums and for those who like the night life the bars are open till the small hours of the morning. For those who enjoy their food the restaurants serve superb local dishes and international cuisine and there is a sense of honour amongst the restaurants to serve the finest dishes. The towns new marina shows how the town has encouraged development in modern times and with the new frontage around the castle walls and underground car park it shows the town commitment to the tourist. The main parts of the town have not lost its tradition with cobbled streets lined with designer shops. There are plenty of activities to do dolphin watching, fishing, cycling, surfing, scuba diving, horse riding, mountain biking, walking, tennis, golf, football, water skiing, water theme parks (3), bird watching, swimming, bowling, cinemas, paragliding, helicopter rides, deep sea fishing,quad biking, tennis, wind carting, kite flying, boat rides and much much more. There are also lots of activities to do at the nearby beaches. Lagos isn't far away from Sagres, which is known as historical because Columbus named it the end of the world. At the close by Boavista golf resort and Parque de Floresta there is a superb football school run by ex professional footballer Mark McCarrick.

25% deposit is payable on booking for required dates. Full balance payable 2 calendar prior to arrival or full balance if booking is made less than 8 weeks before. £300 breakage deposit is required with the full balance and which will be refunded 14 days after you return. Payment can be made via credit/debit card, Paypal, or BACS/CHAPS transfer. There is a 2% surcharge for using Paypal and credit cards.
